Primal Mentality CIC is an award-winning Community Interest Company based in Merseyside, delivering angling, outdoor learning and wellbeing programmes that help children, young people, adults, schools and communities build confidence, resilience and lifelong skills.
Through our flagship Reel Healing programme, nationally recognised Angling Trust Awards, the John Muir Award, and a wide range of outdoor education projects, we create safe, inclusive and inspiring opportunities for people of all ages.
Our aim is simple—to help people reconnect with nature, develop new skills, improve wellbeing and discover their full potential through meaningful outdoor experiences.

Primal Mentality CIC was founded from a simple belief: the outdoors has the power to change lives.
We believe that everyone, regardless of age, ability or background, should have the opportunity to experience the confidence, resilience and wellbeing that comes from spending time in nature.
What started as a passion for outdoor adventure has grown into an award-winning Community Interest Company delivering structured angling, outdoor learning and accredited education programmes across the North West.
Today, we work with children, young people, adults, schools, families and community organisations, creating safe, inclusive and inspiring opportunities that help people reconnect with nature, develop lifelong skills and build brighter futures.

Meet Our Founder
Chris Jervis founded Primal Mentality CIC after seeing first-hand the positive impact that angling, nature and outdoor learning can have on confidence, wellbeing and personal development. His vision was simple: to make these life-changing opportunities accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability or background.
